Moved to Larger Premises
Following a sustained period of growth and with a very strong forward pipeline of work, Precision Stainless Systems have outgrown our current premises at 17 Archimedes St, Darra.
As of Monday 30 August 2021, Precision has relocated to new premises at 16 West Link Place, Richlands – just a short 3 minute drive from our previous location. The new premises at 16 West Link Place is considerably larger with around 2,500 square metres of fabrication space that includes a full length and width overhead crane. The substantial increase in fabrication area will allow Precision to continue to secure projects that include physically larger equipment and projects that are on a larger scale (higher volumes).
Importantly, the new premises include substantially larger, modern office space which had been a constraint at our former location. Recruitment is already underway, with a new Sales Estimator having joined recently and interviews in progress for a new Project Engineer to join the team. The new office space will allow for further recruitment as the need arises.
Growth plans
The move to larger premises comes along with plans for further growth and diversification of the business, which itself are the result of the acquisition of Precision Stainless by the Australis Group earlier in 2021. The first two growth plans will be to begin utilising the Profilium t-slot aluminium profile from within the Australis Group at Precision. This will include some use of the profile in appropriate fabrication projects but also to have local stock in Brisbane for the substantial number of Queensland clients who use the high-quality Profilium t-slot profile that’s sourced from Alusic in Italy. Profile will begin to be stocked at our Richlands site from approximately March 2022.
In addition, with the considerable automation and robotics expertise within the Australis Group, there are plans to begin integrating these capabilities into Precision Stainless Systems’ own projects. These capabilities may include relatively simple conveyor automation, line control or machinery automation through to more advanced robotics, collaborative robots or mobile robotics and AGV’s to enable Precision to begin to offer a full, turnkey solution to its clients. These capabilities are already being quoted to customers for new projects and we can’t wait until the first project lands at our new Richlands site.
